”Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured” ― B.K.S Iyengar

Yoga

  • Yoga is an ancient science meant for self actualization and conscious expansion

Within the Asana, the physical aspect of yoga, we connect mind, body, and breath.

Through cultivating this connection Asana brings us deeper into alignment with self and Source.

Meditation & Breathwork

  • Meditation has been around for thousands of years. In the west, however, it only increased in popularity over the last decade, but it’s no wonder why.

With more research, studies continue to show the profound effect meditating has on our overall well-being.

Meditation is the process of freeing yourself from the constraints of the physical body and mind. Through meditation, we expand our awareness, direct our focus, cultivate peace and gain deeper access to the activation of the potential within our lives.

  • Prana or breath is our life force energy. Through conscious breath we gain access to our nervous system, the base line of information stored in the body.

Through different breathing techniques we can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to bring ourselves into a state of calm and ease. We also have the ability to stimulate our sympathetic nervous system, waking up dormant aspects of our being.

Both bring deep healing and conscious expansion.

  • “The best word to describe yoga with Nina is, ‘beautiful! During practice, Nina masterfully sustains an uplifting and heart-opened flow. That is her gift, her SUPER power! I believe that is why my flexibility, focus, strength, balance, and inner state of ‘HAPPY’ have wondrously grown! As for Nina, I am ever so grateful for her shared practice!”

  • “I first started practicing with Nina to combat chronic low back pain and hamstring tightness caused by excessive sitting at my job and commute. The pain persisted despite regular strength training and trips to the chiropractor. I had been practicing yoga for about a year, 1-2x per week, with other instructors before starting with Nina without significant improvement in symptoms. Immediately I knew that Nina was different from my prior instructors. She has an intensity that challenged and pushed me harder than I had been before, making me feel like I was accomplishing something by completing her class. In addition, she focuses on good form, won't push you into poses you aren't ready for, and offers many modifications to keep you from injuring yourself. Nina has this contagious positive energy that is very difficult not to catch! I am always happy after leaving her classes. As a result of her training, I am pleased to report a significant reduction in back pain, that I know how to manage myself and stretch to avoid it, and that I can touch my toes for the first time since elementary school.”

  • “I have been working with Nina for over nine months. Initially, we met through her studio classes, and now we have private sessions as I look to expand and enhance my yoga practice. She is a wonderful instructor with the ideal combination of high expectations and constant encouragement. During the time we have worked together, she has stressed fundamentals, making sure I do poses properly to get the most out of them and build the foundation for harder challenges. My confidence in larger class settings has soared as her teaching “kicks in,” I know I can handle whatever pose variation comes my way. My balance and strength have improved, as have my overall health and fitness. Nina is a light to those she comes into contact with, a ray of goodness, warmth, and positive energy for the world.”
